What is the difference between a Minecraft Java and a Bedrock server?

Minecraft Java is the original PC version, compatible with mods (Forge, Fabric) and plugins (Spigot, Paper). Minecraft Bedrock is the cross-platform version (console, mobile, PC) which does not support Java mods but allows crossplay. OnPowered offers both types of hosting.

What is a multi-server Minecraft Box?

An OnPowered Box is a shared physical server that lets you host several Minecraft instances at the same time (Java and Bedrock). An Iron Box handles 3 servers, a Gold Box 5, a Diamond Box 7, an Emerald Box 10 and a Netherite Box 12 servers.

How much RAM should I choose for my Minecraft server?

For 1 to 10 players without mods: 4 to 8 GB of RAM. For 10 to 30 players with plugins: 8 to 16 GB. For heavy modpacks (ATM, All the Mods) or 30+ players: 16 to 32 GB minimum. Our plans range from 8 GB to 64 GB of DDR4.

Can I install mods and plugins on OnPowered servers?

Yes. OnPowered supports all modded Minecraft servers: Forge, Fabric, Spigot, Paper, Bukkit, CraftBukkit, Velocity, BungeeCord. Installation is done in a few clicks through the Pterodactyl panel, with no server configuration.

Where are OnPowered Minecraft servers hosted?

OnPowered servers are hosted in Belgium. The infrastructure is protected by anti-DDoS.

Does OnPowered offer a free trial for Minecraft servers?

Yes, OnPowered offers free trial periods on some Minecraft plans (Java and Bedrock, individual servers and Box). Check the product page to see the available trial offers.

What is the difference between a VPS and Minecraft hosting?

Minecraft hosting is optimised to run a game server with a graphical panel (Pterodactyl). A Linux VPS gives you full root access to a virtual server so you can install any software (Node.js, Python, databases, websites). OnPowered offers both.

Can I host a Discord bot with OnPowered?

Yes. OnPowered's Node.js/Python plan is perfectly suited to hosting Discord bots (discord.js, discord.py). Guaranteed uptime, automatic restart, real-time logs.

Where are OnPowered VPS hosted?

OnPowered VPS servers are hosted in Belgium. You get a dedicated IP and a high-speed connection.

Billing and support

Does OnPowered offer discounts on long-term subscriptions?

Yes. OnPowered offers progressive discounts: -5% for a quarterly subscription, -10% for semi-annual, -15% for annual. These discounts apply to all Minecraft and Box plans.

How do I contact OnPowered support?

OnPowered support is available 7 days a week via the live chat (Tawk.to) on the website, or via Discord. For billing questions, a ticket system is available in the client area.
